Such A Time As This
Fundamental Beliefs

THE SCRIPTURES
We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and is without error.  The final authority for faith and life.

THE TRINITY
We believe in One God, eternally existing in three distinct persons. God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit.  All equal in power and in glory.

JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus was God's only begotten Son. Born of a virgin birth, to die as a sacrifice for all sin, and that He was resurrected, to become The Savior of the lost world.

SALVATION
We believe that it is only by the blood of Jesus, through His sacrifice on the cross, that we can be saved, and have eternal life with Christ.  Good works are evidence of salvation.
1: Admittance of sin and the need to be saved.
2: Repent and acknowledge Jesus as the sacrifice for sin
3: Accept Jesus as your savior. (Submit to His authority)
4: Confess that Jesus is Lord.

MAN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, for fellowship with God.  But through Adam's sin, caused a separation between man and God, which cannot be regained through his own efforts.  Only by the shed blood of Jesus.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the present representation of God in The Holy Spirit.  The spirit indwells Christians, directing them in leading Godly lives.

THE CHURCH
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, in which Jesus Christ is the head.  Members are those who are believers and follow in the beliefs that Jesus set forth in His life, death on the cross, and resurrection.

BAPTISM
We believe that baptism is a public Acknowledgement of your commitment to Jesus Christ.  While we believe that this is not necessary for salvation, it is something that Jesus instructs us to do after we are saved.

MARRIAGE, GENDER AND SEXUALITY.
We believe that marriage is designed by God, between one man and one woman.  We believe that the gender of a man and a woman is determined at birth, by God, by obvious, physical attributes.  And that God has designed sexual intimacy for a man and a woman, under the covenant of marriage.
